Beatriz is recognized for her depth of experience, leadership abilities, and drive for technical and design excellence.  Originally trained as an architect in her native country of Brazil, she later moved to Canada, where she spent the last two decades working as a designer on a wide range of projects.  Her diverse portfolio spans residential, educational, commercial, and industrial projects.

At Gardner Architecture, Beatriz is appreciated for her collaborative spirit and passion for sharing her knowledge.  Since joining the firm in late 2023, she has spearheaded the implementation of Revit, a 3D parametric modelling software that makes it easier to visualize a building and detect issues prior to construction.  In her role as Job Captain, she has acted as the intermediary, coordinating the flow of information from both Ben and the Project Managers to the rest of the team.  Additionally, Beatriz ensures projects are completed according to the client’s vision and stay on track.  She also develops Construction Documents and creates templates to improve process efficiencies.  Her breadth of knowledge of the Building Code, sustainable design, and urban planning makes her a sought-after advisor.

In her free time, Beatriz loves to immerse herself in the creative process.  While working on paper with pencil or paint, she is able to renew her passion for design and let her personal projects serve as a source of inspiration for her architectural work.
