The new Centre Polonia Community Centre is located in the Central McDougall community and is adjacent to the existing Polish Hall to the north, the Prince of Wales Armories to the south. The site was rezoned to allow for the development of the new Polish Community Hall, and RA9 on the larger southern portion of the site. The Centre features a Restaurant and Bar with a stage for live performance, as well as a large Multi-Use space with a Gallery, Museum, small Library and Polish Store. A Games and Hobby room, as well as a Dance Studio and Multi-Use room which will serve as flexible spaces that can be reconfigured to allow for utilization by a variety of groups in the community. Offices for members of the Polish Heritage Society of Edmonton are also included. A large atrium space runs through the center of the building, up to the third floor, activating both the north and south sides of the site. A large patio for patrons of the restaurant will look over the recreational field to the east and wrap around the north side of the building, where it will act as a plaza for community events year-round. With a contemporary look and timeless material palette, the new Polish Hall is a solid institution adding real community value that will attract and serve residents of the entire city.
